Our agile team at Innova Solutions was engaged by a leading pharmaceutical corporation to infuse agility into a groundbreaking project. The project’s ambitious goal was to develop a recommendation engine that would enhance the sales approach of their medical representatives (MRs) towards healthcare providers.
The Challenge
The recommendation engine was envisaged to provide tailored advice to MRs based on the specific point in their relationship journey with each healthcare provider. This advice was to be generated by juxtaposing successful strategies from the past with the current relationship status. A significant challenge was that this initiative was the first of its kind, implying that a linear, traditional project approach might not be effective. The project needed a method allowing flexibility, continuous learning, and the capacity to pivot.
Our Solution
Recognizing the need for agility, we deployed one of our expert Agile Coaches to the project. The coach began by providing comprehensive training to the entire team on the tenets and methods of Agile. With the foundational understanding established, the coach then guided the team in drafting an Agile delivery plan to kick-start the project execution.
As the project progressed, our Agile Coach provided continuous support to all the key stakeholders involved, including the Product Owner, the Development Team, the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and the Scrum Master. Emphasis was placed on the Scrum methodology, encouraging the team to embrace an iterative development approach that would allow for incremental progress and real-time adjustments.

Thanks to the Agile framework and the meticulous coaching provided, the team could gradually comprehend, apply, and fine-tune the Scrum methodology, which eventually led to the successful completion of a working solution.
